The National Cardiac Registry (NCR) collects information about the care and outcomes that Australians receive when they undergo cardiac procedures, specifically Percutaneous Coronary Intervention (PCI).

The NCR 2023 Annual Status Report presents data on PCI procedures from across the country, reflecting the activity of 57 contributing hospitals.

Since 2019 the NCR now holds over 72,000 PCI procedures, with 23,622 cases from 2022.

The registry continues to grow, and this report is the first NCR Annual Report to include data from both the public and private hospital sectors.

The 2023 Annual Status Report’s release is accompanied by a number of factsheets, which summarise some of the key data within the report:

    • PCI Key Findings
    • STEMI Key Findings
    • Pre-Hospital Notification
    • Radial Access
    • Patient Information
