The NCR Annual Status Report 2025 was published on Tuesday 9 December 2025 via an online webinar, featuring several guest speakers and hosted by Professor Sophia Zoungas, Head of School, The School of Public Health and Preventive Medicine, Monash University. The Annual Status Report 2025 presents data on PCI procedures from across Australia, building upon five years of data, with the recent inclusion of cases from the 2024 calendar year.

The session was introduced by the Chair of the NCR Board, Dr Jim Leitch, who talked about the importance of the data and the expanding reach of the NCR network.

Associate Professor Jeff Lefkovits summarised the key findings and trends outlined in the NCR Annual Status Report 2025. They also presented data from a recent Same Day Discharge analysis paper completed by the NCR, pointing to an appetite for future bespoke analysis using National Cardiac Registry data.

Mr David Follent, Chair of the NCR Indigenous Steering Committee, spoke to the future of indigenous data and data sovereignty.

Professor David Brieger delivered a summary of the recently published ACS (Acute Coronary Syndrome) Guidelines, which he was integral in developing, that provide a benchmark of quality for cardiovascular care in Australia. Professor Brieger praised the NCR for its adherence to the ACS Guidelines.
